God has not called you to trust MAN. He has called you to trust HIM. Say no to ANYTHING that does not agree with scripture. It’s ok. You have that right. NEVER put ANY ‘words’ BEFORE the words of Jesus. No matter who says what!!! #Holy_Spirit_is_the_Teacher #back_to_basics #back_to_the_bible #test_the_spirits #Bible_is_a_guide
Many are saying: “Don’t live in fear! And, “We don’t live in fear!” Are you so sure of that?
But then they go out in public, waving around flags. Flags of America. Flags of the Confederacy. Even Swastikas.
Then, when interviewed as to why they aren’t wearing a mask, why they are grouped together by the hundreds, why they are demanding the economy to be opened up, they begin to yell and scream.
ANGER is a mask for FEAR my friends.
They are ALL afraid.
So just WHO is “living in fear?”
Staying home and being cautious is Proverbs 14:16 in action:
“The wise are CAUTIOUS and avoid danger;
fools plunge ahead with RECKLESS confidence..”
JESUS himself showed us the response we should have when Satan told him to jump off the cliff and QUOTED Psalm 91 to Jesus. He took scripture, and dared to quote it back to its author! Really?!
JESUS answered this fool: “DO NOT TEMPT THE LORD YOUR GOD!”
It is ONE thing to trust the Lord with your well being, but it’s another thing to try and take advantage of him.
We CAN and DO stand on HIS word to be safe but we are NEVER to treat him like our magic genie in a lamp who will allow us to run headlong into danger.
If we go into a region where they kill Christians for example, we know we are risking our lives, but we will do that for HIS sake. We trust God in that, but still know we may or may not be martyred.
But we don’t willfully expose ourselves to the elements, we don’t jump into shark infested waters just because, we don’t drink poison, we don’t stop eating food or drinking water. We don’t run wild in the streets late at night where gang land killings are going on. Do we? No! WHY?
Because these things can kill us. We use our COMMON SENSE, and “are CAUTIOUS and avoid danger;
( because) fools plunge ahead with RECKLESS confidence..”
What FRIGHTENS me is that it is very APPARENT you are NOT STUDYING THE BIBLE!
Whatever happened to following what GOD’S OWN WORD says to do and HOW TO ACT in this world!
COME ON! Pick up a bible and read ALL of it! Especially what JESUS said and did! If we say we follow HIM then start with HIS WORDS and ACTIONS. Because, getting in the street, screaming and yelling, and disregarding the LIVES of others is NOT FOLLOWING him but it’s following FEAR.
You can still protest by using social media. Without putting others in danger.
We don’t DARE God! It’s CHILDISH and RECKLESS.
This is a sense of entitlement this needs to be reined in.
The Bible says YOU ARE NOT YOUR OWN!
1 Corinthians 6:19-20
“Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? YOU ARE NOT YOUR OWN; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.”
And, the Bible says you are NOT to be a stumbling block. But since you are not apparently reading the Bible maybe that’s the problem?!
“But take heed lest by any means this liberty of yours become a stumblingblock to them that are weak.”
Never place your RIGHTS above human life. THIS IS NOT LIKE CHRIST. 😞
Trust God with your rights. The leaders are trying to save lives – God will keep you. We don’t have to ‘demand’ our ‘rights’. This virus is real. I’ve seen it first hand. GBU Don’t let ‘fear’ of losing your ‘rights’ guide you!
Not understanding the “joy of the Lord” can create an imbalance in your life. I’ve seen this when “joy” is put on a pedestal and treated as if it’s a mandate from God. I’ve seen it hurt people in the worst way.
Along will come a fellow Christian dealing with some heavy issues in their life, traumatized, and the one’s around them who are doing “good” will say, “Hey! Don’t let the devil steal your joy!” in a glib and minimizing way implying it’s a ‘sin’ to hurt.
Why? Why do they spout this nonsense that only ends up “shutting people up?” Because the one saying it has put joy on a pedestal in a off balance understanding of true joy that thinks joy makes you a giddy fool with a smile plastered on your face.
The word says, the “joy of the LORD” is your strength. This has nothing to do with a feeling of ‘bubbly effervescent happiness.” While fun to feel this way, the emphasis is on the LORD, that focusing on him WILL strengthen you because he is your defender, your shepherd, your shield, your bulwark, your rock, your protector , and your savior. ALL of those roles signify that they are performed in the context of turmoil, attack, tribulations, and problems of every sort.
One day, we will have no need of those things because we will be with him in perfect peace. But for now, we fight.
In reality, when people say to not the devil steal your joy in response to you telling them your struggles, it’s about THEM and their inability to know what to say to you. It’s about how THEY feel, in a “happy-happy-joy-joy” neurotic way of thinking.
This emphasis on “joy-out-of-balance” makes one self centered. No where in scripture is this supported. Instead, we are admonished to comfort those who need comforting; and, we are admonished to put on the full armor of God, which begs the question of: since when is being a soldier ‘fun’?
I’m not advocating walking around all doom and gloom and depressed all the time like that is “holy.” What I’m saying is we need to stop ignoring the people around us, and especially our brothers and sisters in Christ, who may be dealing with some real painful situations. Stop putting false expectations on them to just be “joyful” when in reality WE are the ones who just can’t handle it-we just don’t want to hear it because we don’t know what to do. Ho sad for us when we ourselves don’t know our true authority we have in Christ. We sell Him short and hurt others with this response.
We are NOT powerless my friends when we hear about hard things. There are many things we can do for those around us. If not practically, then we CAN do something spiritually: by PRAYING. So many times that’s all I had available to help in various life and death scenarios, only to have God turn the tide and miracles were performed. People on the verge of death and complete destruction o have seen God step in time and time again in response to prayer ALONE.
So let’s strengthen ourselves in the LORD, and not shy away from painful things or “pained people” in our lives. Let’s get a hold of PRAYER and INTERCESSION again. It is like a nuclear bomb in the spiritual realm!!
Remember who you are and WHOSE you are! GREATER is HE who is in you than he who is in the world! 💥💥💥💥💥💥
Everyone has a “take-this-cup-from-me” moment. Standing there with those lions (an evil world system you are a part of with no choice of your own) surrounding you, staring you down, wanting to devour you and leave no trace of you behind; being thrown into a furnace (how can people be so evil?) to be burnt up forever.
“BUT GOD!” Oh yes, my friend! There IS a “BUT GOD” – you are NOT ALONE! Just as HE shut the mouth of the lions (they stared at me, wanting me to be gone, brought down in shame, guilt, and humiliation-deliver me! Oh God from the hand of my enemies) He WILL shut the mouth of the lions surrounding YOU! He IS the fourth Man in the fire WITH you! See Him there! You ARE NOT EVER ALONE when you have HIM! You will come out whole! You will come out unscathed! With not even the smell of smoke on you! He is your strong right arm to shut the mouth of the lions! He is your shield against the flames!
Victory NOW! Yes indeed! I dance before the Lord in celebration, celebration that He has brought me out! My strong right arm is He! My shield in the burning flames of persecution! Tonight I celebrate My God who has delivered me from the mouth of the lions and the fiery furnace! Exultation in GOD!
God is no respecter of persons! What He did for me, He WILL do for you!
Count on it!
“He hath delivered my soul in peace from the battle that was against me: for there were many with me.” Psalm 55:18
“The LORD preserveth the simple: I was brought low, and he helped me.” Psalm 116:6
“But You have saved us from our adversaries, And You have put to shame those who hate us.” Psalm 44:7
“Deliver me from my enemies, O my God; Set me securely on high away from those who rise up against me.” Psalm 59:1
“Though I walk in the midst of trouble, You will revive me; You will stretch forth Your hand against the wrath of my enemies, And Your right hand will save me.” Psalm 138:7
“Who also brings me out from my enemies; You even lift me above those who rise up against me; You rescue me from the violent man.” 2 Samuel 22:49
